I represent adult fiction in the following categories: mystery, suspense, thriller, women’s fiction, and commercial fiction. I also represent select young adult fiction in the crime fiction and contemporary categories.
I love to see BIPOC and LGBTQ+ characters in my favorite genres and would love to see representation of disabled and neurodivergent characters and voices, too.
I’m eagerly seeking:
- psychological thrillers
- domestic suspense
- women’s fiction
- book club fiction
- YA mystery/thriller
- select contemporary YA
I’m especially eager to find suspense and psychological thrillers with complex lead characters. While I love a twisty plot, what really hooks me is a character-driven novel with a strong voice. Like P.J. Vernon’s BATH HAUS, S.A. Cosby’s BLACKTOP WASTELAND, Liz Moore’s LONG BRIGHT RIVER.
I love unreliable narrators, stories of family secrets, friendships, and sibling relationships. I’m a sucker for a dual timeline or shifting POV. Think Ruth Ware, Lucy Foley, Ann Patchett, Megan Miranda, Mira T. Lee—writers who can make me gasp, and sometimes well up with tears.
In crime fiction, I love mystery, suspense, domestic suspense, thrillers (except political, medical, and espionage), PI, amateur sleuth, and police procedurals. In women’s fiction/commercial fiction, I’m looking for characters that haunt me when I finish the book. I tend to prefer books set in the present day rather than the historical, but 1970s-1990s is OK.
Unfortunately, the volume of queries I get means most writers will not receive personal feedback, but every query that follows my submission guidelines will receive a response. Queries sent to my Fuse email or author email, my personal website, or through any social media platform will be deleted without a response.
